A concept from Folsom, California
Chew some gum. Skip the mess. Four high school students are designing a gum that is safe to swallow, so it never ends up on the sidewalk.
Why we started
On the first day of high school, we kept stepping on gum. Most gum is made from a synthetic, plastic-like polymer that does not break down. So four students in Folsom set out to design one that does.
The problem
Time on the sidewalk
Day 1
Someone spits out their gum.
Someone steps on it.
Dirt sticks to it. It turns black.
And it stays.
The solution
Our goal is the chew and texture you expect from the gum you already know.
When you finish chewing, it is designed to be safe to swallow.
Spent gum is designed to be digestible, so it never ends up on the sidewalk.
